19. Andrew “Test” Martin – Age 33
In a land dominated by big men, Andrew Martin seemed to be in the right place at the right time, debuting at the height of the WWF Attitude Era. The WWE gave Martin a strong push when he debuted in the WWF as a storyline bodyguard for rockers Motley Crue, then stepped into the ring as “Test”. Test worked in the upper card including a storyline romance with Stephanie McMahon. His career peaked during the Invasion angle of 2001, but he continued working in the WWE until his 2007 release for a Wellness Policy violation. Martin wrestled for one match in TNA, then embarked on a retirement tour, culminating in his last match in 2009. On March 13, 2009, Test’s body was found by police next to a partially consumed box of pizza. A subsequent report indicated Martin died from an overdose of Oxycodone, just four days before his 34th birthday.
