31. Jerry Tuite – Age 36
At 6’10” and 360-pounds, Garden State giant Jerry Tuite was the right size and in the right place at the right time, i.e. the height of the Monday Night War where Kevin Nash helped him land a role in WCW. Working as Alex Wright’s bodyguard then as the one-man army known as “The Wall,” Tuite was an imposing presence in the ring, landing a developmental deal with the WWF until personal issues led to his dismissal. Tuite honed his skills in the ring, finding work in NWA-TNA as “Malice.” Always in demand, Tuite was working in All-Japan Pro Wrestling when his life ended suddenly on December 3, 2006 after he was found unconscious in his hotel room. Despite their best efforts, medical personnel could not revive him and the cause of death was ruled as a heart attack.
