2. Hulk Hogan Wouldn’t Wrestle Him
Longtime WWF fans still wonder why there was no significant program between WWF Champion and Rick Rude, a likely contender for Hogan’s championship. While the two wrestled on a handful of occasions, they didn’t work the house show circuit like Hogan did with many other wrestlers or have any matches of note. Rumor has it that Hogan refused to work with Rude because he was too strong. Was Hogan afraid Rude would embarrass him by taking liberties in the ring? We’ll likely never know the reasons why and it’s too bad because a Hogan/Rude program could have been one of the many highlights of the Rock-n-Wrestling Era during the late 1980’s.
