23. “Big” Dick Dudley – Age 34
The first Dudley family member to show up on ECW, “Big” Dick Dudley (aka Alex Rizzo) began an ECW revolution, introducing his various kayfabe family members to Extreme Championship Wrestling. Inspired by the Hanson Brothers from the 1976 hockey comedy Slapshot, the family clan had a seemingly endless number of brothers including “Big” Dick Dudley, Dudley Dudley, Snot Dudley, Dances with Dudley, Sign Guy Dudley, Chubby Dudley, Devon Dudley, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Spike Dudley. However, Dick Dudley eventually tired of his perceived mistreatment in ECW and left the promotion, joining the independent scene and founding XPW, aka Extreme Pro Wrestling. Rizzo was found dead in his apartment on May 16, 2002. The cause of death was ruled as kidney failure and Irv Muchnick states in his book Wrestling Babylon that Rizzo’s drug abuse caused the kidney failure.
