37. Matt Cappotelli – Age 38
Matt Cappotelli embodied toughness and determination throughout his life, making up for his smaller stature with boundless determination, as seen in his time as a football player and later, as a contestant on Tough Enough 3. Cappotelli won the WWE talent competition along with John Hennigan and was seen as an up and coming star when he was slated to debut on the main roster. However, tragedy struck in 2006 when Cappotelli was diagnosed with a grade 2 glioma brain tumor, forcing him to retire. Showing amazing courage and resiliency, Cappotelli underwent two years of chemotherapy and radiation before being declared cancer free. Although he beat the tumor, his cancer returned in 2017, worse than ever. Matt died on June 29, 2018 after deciding to forego any further treatment.
