3. Rude Got Got by Jake Roberts
One of the many great things about Rick Rude’s gimmick was the segment where he would invite a woman at ringside to come and get a Rude Awakening, i.e., a kiss. According to former WWF creative bigwig Bruce Prichard, there was no shortage of women willing to get a smooch from “The Ravishing One.” While most wrestlers were unwilling to risk Rude’s wrath to rib him, Jake Roberts proved the exception. “The Snake” persuaded a ring rat he was sleeping with to service him orally and share his reward with Rude. When Rude picked a woman from the audience, she kissed him and shared some of Jake Roberts’ semen with Rude, telling him, “That’s a present from Jake.” While we know Rude went looking for Roberts, there’s no word on what happened in retaliation. Bruce Prichard (who confirmed the story did happen) suggests Rude may have avoided roughing Roberts up as he was a top star at the time.
