5. Dino Bravo
Veteran wrestler Dino Bravo (aka Adolfo Bresciano) worked around the world as a top performer, including championship runs in several National Wrestling Alliance territories and the WWF, but by 1991, he’d been released from the WWF. On March 10, 1993 Bravo’s wife Diane returned home from ballet lessons with their young daughter and found her husband shot to death in their Montreal home. A police investigation found no sign of forced entry or a struggle, adding to the the mystery. Word has it that a cash-strapped Bravo had turned to illegal cigarette smuggling during the boom of the early 1990’s, but a botched deal led to his execution-style murder. The crime remains unsolved to this day. Bravo was 44.
