Brickhouse Brown Death – Cancer 1960-2018 (Age 57) Brickhouse Brown died on July 29th, 2018. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April of 2017. The territory worker was mostly known for his work in the 80s. Brickhouse Brown False Death Report It appeared to be a false finish for Frederick Seawright, better known as territory worker, Brickhouse Brown. The 57 year old flatlined while in hospice care in Mississippi on July 20th, 2018. Brian Blair, President of the Cauliflower Alley Club first reported Brown’s death, and as expected, the social media tributes poured in. Blair had grown close to Brickhouse Brown, the Cauliflower Alley Club had been helping Brown pay his rent after his cancer diagnosis in 2017. John Kronus Death – Heart Failure 1969-2007 (Age 38) George Caiazzo went from bouncing unruly nightclub patrons to bouncing opponents in the ring as John Kronus, one-half of ECW’s famous tag team the Eliminators. Kronus’ time in professional wrestling is best known for his work in Extreme Championship Wrestling and Xtreme Pro Wrestling. Caiazzo retired in 2002 except for a return to the ECW reunion shows Hardcore Homecoming in 2005. Bouncing into the Business George Caiazzo was born on January 13, 1969 in Everett, Massachusetts. Caiazzo worked as a bouncer at a nightclub managed by Perry Saturn and happened to watch a video of Saturn wrestling. Intrigued, Caiazzo decided to become a wrestler, traveling to Memphis with Saturn in order to split living expenses. Brad Armstrong Death – Undisclosed Causes 1962-2012 (Age 50) A member of one of wrestling’s underrated dynasties, Brad Armstrong competed alongside his father “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, breaking into the business at age 18. A talented wrestler, Brad Armstrong worked a number of gimmicks, but never found the same success as his father, or brother. Nonetheless, Brad Armstrong was highly respected in the industry, both in and out of the ring. Breaking in at a Young Age The son of WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, Brad broke into the business at the age of 18, working in the NWA’s Southeastern Championship Wrestling territory. Before long, Armstrong was on the nationally syndicated program World Championship Wrestling, competing alongside his famous father Bob in Georgia Championship Wrestling. Timothy Well Death – Kidney Failure 1961-2017 (age 55) Timothy Smith died on January 9th, 2017 after suffering from kidney failure. Smith is perhaps best known as Timothy Well, one half of the early 90s WWF tag team “Well Dunn”, where he partnered with Steven Dunn (Steve Doll). Doll died in 2009. Although their WWF run was brief, the duo would end up spending the majority of their careers as a tag team across various promotions. Smith also spent time as a singles competitor where he worked under the ring name of Rex King. Rex King takes on a young Raven in 1989 Early Career Timothy Smith grew up in Florida and like many aspiring wrestlers before him, he was bit by the wrestling bug as a youngster. He would go on to work locally in the Sarasota area, trained by Dean Malenko, before ultimately forming a tag team with Steve Doll.

Sapphire Death

Juanita “Sapphire” Wright Death – Heart Attack 1934-1996 (age 61) Best known as the valet for Dusty Rhodes, Sapphire worked WWF programming throughout the late 80s and early 90s. She was commonly referred to as “Sweet Sapphire” and wore yellow polka-dotted attire to match that of Dusty’s. Sapphire’s fun loving attitude and dance moves helped compliment Dusty’s gimmick, and helped get her over with the crowd. Despite a relatively short run with the WWF, she appeared at all of the “big 4” pay per views, including WrestleMania VI, and 1990’s SummerSlam where she sold out to the Million Dollar Man. Steven Dunn Death – Blood Clot 1960-2009 (age 48) Steven Lyle Doll was involved in professional wrestling from 1984 to 2005, and while he had a long career, he never achieved the notoriety of many of his contemporaries. Still, he did manage to win multiple championships, most notable with his tag partner Timothy Smith, better known as Rex King and Timothy Well. Over the course of his career, Steven Dunn won the NWA North American Tag Team Championship four times, the NWA Tag Team Championship one time, the USWA World Tag Team Championship eight times and the NWA North American Tag Team Championship three times. Steve Williams Death – Throat Cancer 1960-2009 (age 49) While he was best known for his achievements in the ring as a wrestler, Steve Williams was a talented athlete who excelled on the football field playing for the University of Oklahoma.
