Working as a cocky scientific heel, Bockwinkel taunted fans with his expansive vocabulary and uncanny ability to steal victory from certain defeat. Outside the ring, he was respected by his peers and the industry, lending prestige to any project he worked on. A Family Tradition Nick was born on December 6th, 1934, the son of pro wrestler Warren Bockwinkel. Nick attended the University of Oklahoma on a football and wrestling scholarship until a knee injury ended his football career.
